Hi all! I am a second-year law student at Columbia Law School. I decided to take the Japanese class this semester because I hope to have the opportunity to practice US law in Japan in the future and it will be great if I can communicate with my clients in their native language!

As you may notice from my blog title, I am a big fan of a recent Japanese TV show called "Legal High" (リーガル　ハイ). I really love the main character in the show played by Masato Sakai. I hope that one day I can watch and understand the show without looking at the subtitle! But I know that it will take a long time for me to reach that level.

With respect to the Japanese class, I really enjoy it so far. Our sensei is super nice, friendly, and helpful and the teaching material and method are very engaging and interesting. I hope that I can continue to study Japanese!
